Terminator Genisys is an upcoming 2015 American science fictionaction film directed by Alan Taylor and written by Laeta Kalogridis andPatrick Lussier. It is the fifth installment in the Terminator series, and is said to "reset" the series, acting as a sequel, prequel, and reboot to the series. Arnold Schwarzenegger reprises his role as the titular character, along with newcomers Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, Matt Smith, Lee Byung-hun, Dayo Okeniyi, Courtney B. Vance, Sandrine Holt, and J. K. Simmons. The film is scheduled to be released by Paramount Pictures on July 1, 2015.
